SSByte Solutions ("we", "our", or "us") collects personal data when you use the Kite platform. This includes names, emails, and phone numbers for parents and administrators. For students, we collect roster information provided by the school, as well as real-time vehicle location telemetry data which indicates transit status.
We use this data solely to provide the core services of Kite: ensuring real-time tracking of school transport, triggering safety notifications, providing administrative telemetry dashboards, and improving app performance.
We do not sell user data. Data is only shared with authorized school administrators and verified parents/guardians associated with a specific student. Third-party cloud service providers (like Firebase) and third-party analytics tools may process data securely under strict data processing agreements to help us understand app usage and improve our services.
We employ industry-standard security measures including end-to-end encryption for transit data and role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure unauthorized persons cannot access student locations.
