Why we built Kite

Every parent we spoke to had the same morning ritual: send the child off, then wait. Some called the school. Some texted other parents. Some opened a window every few minutes hoping to see the bus.

Every school admin we spoke to had the same complaint: half their day was spent answering "where is my child?" calls. The phone never stopped. Real work — strategic planning, teacher support, student well-being — kept getting pushed to the end of the day.

Every driver we spoke to had the same fear: that one day they would miss a child sleeping in the back row. That fear is not paranoia — it is the news headline that returns every year, in every country.

Kite-Edu exists to remove those three pains — for parents, for schools, for drivers — using technology that already lives in everyone's pocket.

About us

What we believe

Three principles shape every decision we make.

Safety is not a feature

It is the foundation. Every part of Kite is designed so that, when something goes wrong, the right person knows within seconds.

Parents deserve transparency

A parent who can see their child's bus on a map calls the school less and trusts the school more. Transparency is the cheapest way to build trust.

Technology serves the school

Not the other way around. If a feature makes admin work harder, it is the wrong feature. We measure success in time given back to humans.
