1. Service description
Kite-Edu is a school management and student-transport platform composed of three applications:
- Kite Org — web dashboard for school administrators and teachers
- Kite Driver — mobile app for bus drivers and assistants
- Kite Client — mobile app for parents (iOS and Android)
The Service provides academic management, real-time bus tracking, safety alerts, and communication between school stakeholders.
2. Accounts
To use the Service, your school must hold a valid subscription. The school creates and manages individual accounts for administrators, teachers, parents, and drivers.
You agree to keep your login credentials confidential and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates law or these Terms
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
- Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to access the Service except as we expressly authorise
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, trademarks ("Kite", "Kite-Edu"), and documentation, is owned by SSByte Solutions and protected by intellectual property law.
You retain ownership of the content and data you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content as necessary to provide the Service.
5. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen outages may occur.
For safety-critical operations, the school remains responsible for following standard safety procedures independent of the Service.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Safety features in the Service are designed to assist, not replace, human judgement and standard school safety procedures.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SSByte Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by your school for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the subscription according to the terms of the school contract. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if you breach these Terms.
On termination, we will export or delete school and student data as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes shall be brought before the competent courts of Amman, Jordan.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify users in advance through the apps or by email.
